This project centred on transforming a Victorian terrace to meet the needs of a young family seeking a more vibrant and personalised home. Departing from their previous all-white aesthetic, the family wanted a design that introduced diverse materials, colours, and spatial variety. The goal was to overcome typical challenges of Victorian terraces—limited natural light, constrained spaces, and a warren of small rooms—while creating a warm, luxurious, and family-friendly living environment.

The Brief
With planning approval secured, the house underwent a transformative restructure to maximise daylight in the main living areas. On the ground floor, walls were removed to establish a seamless flow between the living rooms and the kitchen diner, creating an open-plan layout that enhances connectivity and spaciousness.
The upper floors were reimagined into three luxury suites, each complete with its own walk-in dressing room and en-suite bathroom, offering privacy and comfort for the family members. Throughout the home, durable, tactile materials were chosen for their richness and ability to age gracefully, ensuring the design remains both beautiful and practical as the family’s needs evolve. This carefully considered transformation has resulted in a vibrant yet timeless family home.
