We were commissioned to transform a Grade II listed 18th-century villa that had been stripped of its historic features by previous owners. The goal was to craft a modern, family-oriented home while respecting the building's classical heritage.
Our task included developing a contemporary interior scheme, integrating bold design choices, and enhancing natural light throughout the home. Additionally, the project involved navigating planning regulations to secure a full-width contemporary addition and laying the groundwork for a second development phase to create new spaces under the gardens.

The Brief
The result is a striking juxtaposition of classical and contemporary design. Inside, the unashamedly modern scheme embraces innovative lighting and vibrant color, with standout features like an 800kg cantilevered sink carved from a single piece of Basaltina. Sparkling Bisazza tiles and carefully positioned diffused lighting create a glamorous, club-like ambiance—perfect for evening relaxation. Externally, the newly added full-width extension floods the ground floor with daylight, connecting the interior to the garden vistas.
Looking forward, the second phase of the project will introduce 200 sq. m of underground space for staff quarters, games rooms, and a gymnasium, further blending family functionality with modern luxury.
