The project involved the conversion of the entire top floor of a mid-Victorian building in Putney into a luxurious penthouse apartment. The objective was to reimagine the internal layout while ensuring the design was sympathetic to the surrounding conservation area.

The Brief

The design featured large electric roof lights and minimalist floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to terraces, significantly enhancing the apartment's openness and flow. Additional accommodation, including a bedroom and shower room, was created to elevate the apartment's functionality. High-quality materials and bespoke finishes were integral, including soundproofing throughout and acid-etched coloured glass for the bathroom walls.

The design team sourced a unique waterproof plaster treatment from Venetian artisans for the wet room and employed a restrained colour palette to soften the architectural lines of the space. All elements were successfully approved by planning.
