The project involved transforming a dark, traditional tavern in Fitzrovia into a vibrant, Australasian-inspired brasserie that would appeal to a diverse, modern audience. With Estée Lauder’s headquarters moving nearby, bringing a fresh demographic, the design needed to shift from a male-dominated atmosphere to a polished, inviting space with an upscale Art Deco aesthetic.

The Brief
To achieve this, the design introduced light tones, including white walls and wood floors, complemented by a dandelion-yellow seating palette. A central bar featuring beech wood and marble tabletops added a clean, airy feel, while statement lighting in crystal dandelion spheres and a stained-glass staircase created a sense of grandeur.
Custom 'Newman Street' velvet from Jason D’Souza upholstered the first-floor seating, infusing a bespoke touch. The revamped layout, highlighted by a relocated staircase, delivered a seamless, immersive dining experience that garnered critical acclaim and was featured on Channel 4’s Made in Chelsea.
