Following a successful refresh of Platform’s Shoreditch location, we were invited to design their second gaming bar in Canary Wharf, London. The goal was to transform the space into a social hub that reflects Platform’s mission to reimagine the gaming culture—moving beyond traditional “gamer” stereotypes to create an inclusive environment for shared, memorable experiences. The design aimed to evoke a nostalgic, immersive atmosphere, blending classic and modern games within a vibrant, communal setting.

The Brief
Taking inspiration from weathered LA warehouses infused with neon accents and an ombre sunset palette, the venue channels a retro-cool aesthetic. Inside, nostalgic touches like Game Boy, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles sit alongside a curated selection of games, offering guests a mix of classic, indie, and cult favourites.
The playful atmosphere is complemented by a menu of drinks and pizza, enhancing the experience and establishing Platform Canary Wharf as the go-to destination for social, nostalgia-fuelled gatherings.
