The Thunderdome identity captures the spirit of unprofessional sports through a nostalgic and dynamic brand narrative. Rooted in the charm of a pre-internet era, the design reimagines a fictional historic sports club with a focus on inclusivity, fun, and positivity.
Drawing inspiration from retro aesthetics, we developed a cohesive visual language encompassing era-specific sub-brands such as Playas Crazy Golf, Boom Box Karaoke, and Old and New School Arcades. Each sub-brand features distinct design elements that connect back to the overarching identity while offering flexibility for diverse applications.
From merchandise to signage and digital platforms, every touchpoint reflects the Thunderdome’s lighthearted ethos. Special emphasis was placed on storytelling, embedding details like fictional founders and mascots into the branding, making it a rich and immersive experience. The result is a vibrant, memorable brand that appeals to broad audiences and sets the stage for unbridled fun.
