Parliament Hill House
The young family’s previous house was an all-white affair and they now fancied a home that would provide greater variation of spaces, materials, and colours. Their new home was a beautiful Victorian terrace with the usual shortcomings: poor daylight, non-flowing spaces, and too many small rooms.
After a successful planning application, the house was restructured to allow a massive increase in daylight to the living spaces. Also opening the house out, to allow a flowing ground floor between living rooms and kitchen diner. The upper floors were turned into three luxury suites all with walk-in dressing rooms and bathrooms.
Rich and tactile materials were selected specifically to age gracefully and help prevent the parents from getting too upset when the kids were kids.
