Canonbury

Untouched since the 1960’s, our brief for this victorian terrace was simple – bring the tropics to London! Zachary Pulman Design Studio have a wealth of experience in planning submission. And this project saw another successful application approved, for what was a bold concept, in the notoriously challenging Islington Conservation Area.

With its full width rear glass extension, and the removal of the internal walls at ground level, we effected a total transformation of the dark period home into a modern, rich, warm, and light filled space.

Our clients shared our love of quality finishes and vibrant, exquisite details, so they commissioned custom joinery including handmade kitchen cabinetry and a matching bookcase in douglas fir. Bespoke digital camouflage carpets leading to the first floor, and a great treat for the kids in the fluorescent yellow cantilevered staircases leading onwards.

The entire first floor was transformed into a master suite with its own private terrace. Also included were walk in wardrobes and solid Nero absolute marble vanity units in the luxurious master bath.
